Carissa Ball joins our clinic as the face behind Soul Haven Counselling. She is a dedicated Masters level trauma counsellor with 13+ years of experience. She works from a strength based, anti-oppressive, client-centred and attachment focused framework, providing a calm and non-judgemental space.
She is knowledgeable in working with individuals regarding interpersonal violence, childhood abuse, sexual assault, traumatic illness, grief and loss. She has worked throughout many First Nations communities in our province, Emergency Departments in Regina, with Mental Health Services and supporting survivors of sexual assault.
Soul Haven will provide services to children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. Individual and couples counselling will be offered. Carissa offers expertise in child development, attachment difficulties, intergenerational trauma, and assisting those with PTSD. Carissa has extensive knowledge in assisting those who experience thoughts of self-harm and/or suicidal ideations in ensuring those individuals are safe and well supported.
In addition to, providing support regarding anxiety, depression, anger management, emotional regulation, addictions, grief/loss/bereavement, relationship issues, parenting support, crisis, self-esteem issues and life transitions.
