Prior to my naturopathic studies, I attended the University of Regina where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Women’s Studies. I honed in on the social determinants of women’s health aiming to answer the question: What are the factors that affect our access to healthcare as women? This question was born out of academia but also a personal struggle with my own health as a young female.
This fascination with healthcare and drive for education and empowerment along with some amazing role models led me to naturopathic medicine. Through this medicine, I have learned to trust and befriend my body. Now I am ready to launch into a career where I can help others just like myself do much the same. I could list several more reasons why I chose naturopathic medicine but I think the most honest answer is that naturopathic medicine chose me.
In my spare time, you can find me in the yoga studio, tending to my abundance of houseplants, outside marvelling at nature, infusing pretty much anything with botanicals or playing in the kitchen.
