Dr. Julie Zepp Rutledge ND is trained as a Reiki Master. Julie has received her training and attunements through two powerful Reiki Masters, Marli Joy Fromowitz in Maple, Ontario and Aline Wilkie of Wilkie Wellness here in Regina.
She often incorporates Reiki sessions into her treatment protocols. She finds it a highly effective means to enhance the treatment benefits of supplements and nutritional recommendations and finds that adding Reiki to a patient’s regime increases compliance, motivation and self-compassion, a key component to optimal wellness.
Sessions are one hour in length and for that hour you get a chance to lie on Julie’s BioMat www.biomat.com, a therapeutic experience in and of itself. The mat contains amethyst crystals and a gentle infrared current is sent through it, with a variety of heat settings. During the Reiki session the practitioner’s hands are placed on or just above various areas of your body that are “requesting” healing. Clients may doze off, or at the very least feel deeply relaxed, as it is the chance for you to truly let go and allow healing to take place.
This gentle, effective, non-invasive method of treatment is used to address all different health conditions. It is essential to note that one does not necessarily require an ailment to be treated in order to benefit from Reiki! Reiki works with our nervous systems and energy channels, meridians and chakras to bring about healing and balance. It is relaxing, rejuvenating and restorative. All it requires is your willingness to show up, keep an open mind and heart, and surrender to the supportive therapeutic environment.
“I believe there exists One Supreme Being – the Absolute Infinite – a Dynamic Force that governs the world and universe. It is an unseen spiritual power that vibrates and all other powers fade into insignificance beside it. So therefore it is Absolute, I shall call it “Reiki”. Being a Universal force from the Great Divine Spirit, it belongs to all who seek and desire to learn the art of healing.”
